Additional costs
- Application fee: $41
- Student Society fees: $45.93 per month, plus $254 per year for health and dental benefits
- Textbooks: TBD
- Special equipment: Cost will vary per student depending on equipment needed*.
*Students will require additional items for the field terms:
- Outdoor clothing that is adequate for rain, wind, cold, and hot conditions.
- Personal camping equipment including, but not limited to, sleeping bag, tent, backpack, etc.
Quality of clothing and personal equipment can determine the quality of experiences in the outdoors. However, as this is not a specific activity guide training program, students should not need to incur significant expenses. Students are encouraged to borrow or rent what they need, although they may need to purchase some items. Items purchased will be useful to you when facilitating adventure education activities after the program.
Food, accommodation and technical equipment for specific activities will be provided, such as group shelters, cooking equipment, canoes, paddles and wetsuits. Costs are included in tuition fees.
Students will receive a detailed list of required items as part of their welcome package, once accepted to the program.
