Applied Communication Questionnaire

Instructions:

1. Please type your responses.
2. Use the same guidelines for spelling and neatness that you would use if you were completing a job application.

4. Before you answer the questions, please think about three important areas:
   • your understanding of the program and the communications field,
   • the skills you bring to the program, and
   • your understanding of the financial and time commitments you will be making.

Questions:

1. What excites you about a career in media?
2. What do you think the program is about?
3. What aspects of your education, past experience, and/or personal interests do you feel will help you succeed in the Applied Communication program?
4. One Applied Communication student said, “At least half of production is getting along with the people”. Think of a situation where you are doing things with others. Describe specific things you do to get along with and work well with people.
5. Being a producer requires long hours and working to deadlines. How will you meet the commitment required in view of your outside interests, family commitments, and financial situation?
