The Accounting program provides the background and knowledge you’ll need to enter business or government in an accounting capacity. After successfully completing the program, you can seek employment as an accounting technician or auditor, or in related positions in the accounting field.

Accounting GraduateAs a graduate, you can choose to continue your education, progressing to the Bachelor of Business Administration program. After your BBA, you’ll be able to continue further to the CMA (Certified Management Accountants), CGA (Certified General Accountants) or CA (Chartered Accountants) programs. Advanced transfer credit is given by the CMA, CGA and CA institutes. For further information, consult with a Camosun College Academic Advisor.

This two-year program provides you with a valuable business education. Your first year is spent taking introductory-level courses that allow you to explore the program and provides courses in several different business areas. Your second year will be spent on your selected business option. You also have the opportunity to combine your academic studies with paid practical work experience in the Co–operative Education Designation.

The program can be completed over four academic terms on a full–time basis by taking six courses in the first term and five courses in each of the last three terms.
