The Legal Office Assistant certificate program is a one-year full-time program that provides learners with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to function in entry level support roles in a variety of legal, government and general business environments.

You'll gain general knowledge of substantive law, procedural law, litigation and law foundations. You'll also learn:

Graduates typically provide secretarial and administrative services that support managers and professional employers in both the private and public sectors, including law offices,legal departments of large firms, real estate companies, public courts and government.

Four Camosun grads take home BC Notaries awards

Thomas Brown, 22, credits Camosun College for his new full-time legal assistant job in the Ministry of Attorney General. He's a recent graduate of Camosun's 12-month Legal Office Assistant certificate program and one of four top School of Business students who received this year's prestigious BC Notaries and Notary Foundation of BC Award.
