Academic Upgrading—Fundamental & Intermediate
- attendance at a program information session is highly recommended for new students
Admission requirements
- by assessment*; and,
- informational interview with an individual from the Academic and Career Foundations Department. If your English assessment places you in ENGL 021, ENGL 022, ENGL 023, ENGL 024 or ENGL 025, you will be advised to contact Faith at 250-370-4489.
*Students are admitted based on their previous educational background and experience. If your high school transcripts are dated, or if you do not have any transcripts, you will need to take an assessment before registering. (Note: There is an assessment fee: usually $10 per test.) If you think you will be starting somewhere up to and including grade 10 level, arrange an alternate assessment with the School of Access. Call 250-370-3295 to book an interview and placement into Fundamental Math and/or Fundamental or Intermediate English.
