Programs and courses—what are we talking about?
- Course
- Covers one subject, such as Math 108 Applied Calculus or History 206 Canadian Women: 1916-Present. Normally one course includes 3-4 hours in class each week for several weeks.
- Program
- A collection of courses that collectively lead to a credential, such as Environmental Technology or Early Learning and Care. Depending on the credential, full-time programs vary in length from six months to four years, and might include between five and forty courses.
Before you apply, you need to choose a “program”
- When you fill out an application form to Camosun, you'll need to specify which program you're applying for.
- You'll choose your courses at a later date, when you register.
