Welding Level C ACE IT program

The Welding Level C ACE IT partnership program provides hands on practical training and prepares you to enter the welding trade. You can earn dual high school and college credits and receive a college certificate by participating in Camosun’s 7 month Welding C program.

The program
- is for Grade 11 and 12 students, and adult learners under 19 working towards graduation
- combines secondary and post secondary programming
- provides up to 32 high school credits, industry training credit for level 1 apprenticeship, college certification and concurrent registration

Step 1: Preparation
- English 10 and Math 10 principles or Math 11 applications—minimum 60%
- 30 hours minimum work experience or a job shadow with a welder
- work with your school counselor to register in the program submitting evidence of prerequisites
- qualified students are required to complete an interview and program orientation prior to acceptance into the program.
Step 2: College program @ Camosun’s Interurban campus
- 7 month full time program starting July and February annually
- offered at Camosun College Interurban Campus
- a competency based, self paced program which allows for early completion
- 80% practical skill development and 20% theory
Upon completion: Successful students will receive welding Level C technical training credit, a welders' log book, and a certificate of completion from the college.

- $200 Books (approx.)
- Personal Protective Equipment & Tools
- Tuition fees are covered by the school district through ACE IT.
Note: Ancillary Fees are waived therefore registration does not include a bus pass.
