Sheet Metal Technician ACE IT program

The Sheet Metal and Aircraft Structures partnership program prepares students for employment in the construction, sheet metal manufacturing and aircraft production industries. You can participate in Camosun College’s 6 month Sheet Metal Technician Foundation Program, and earn dual high school and college credits and receive Sheet Metal and Aircraft Structural Technician college certificates.

The program
- is for Grades 11 and 12 students, and adult learners under 19 working towards graduation
- combines secondary and post secondary programming and provides dual credits
- provides 28 high school credits, industry training credit for level 1 apprenticeship, college certification and concurrent registrationÂ
Get started
Step 1: Preparation & Prerequisites
- English 11 and Math 11 applications or principles – minimum 60%, and
- 30 hours minimum work experience or a job shadow with a Sheet metal or Aircraft Structures employer
- work with school counselor to register in the program submitting evidence of prerequisites
- qualified students are required to complete an interview and program orientation prior to acceptance into the program.
Step 2: College program @ Camosun’s Interurban campus
- 25 week full time program starting September annually
- offered at Camosun College Interurban Campus
- includes construction and aircraft structures sheet metal skill development
Upon completion: Successful students will receive a certificate of completion from the College and credit for sheet metal and aircraft structural technician Level 1 apprenticeship technical training.

- $36.41 Application Fee
- $250 Books (approx.)
- Tuition fees are covered by the school district.
Note: Ancillary Fees are waived therefore registration does not include a bus pass.
