The Construction Electrician ACE IT partnership program prepares you for entry to the electrical trade and related employment opportunities. You can earn dual high school and college credits while exploring electrical careers and completing your electrical level 1 technical training.
Construction Electrician ACE IT program
- is for Grades 11 and 12 students, and adult learners under 19 working towards graduation
- combines secondary and post secondary programming and provides dual credit
- includes a 10 week apprenticeship technical training option and a 24 week electrical foundation program option.
- depending on the length, the program provides 12-32 high school credits, industry training credit for level 1 apprenticeship, college certification and concurrent registration

Get started
Step 1: Preparation
- Option 1 Apprentices (10 week program) - Students are required to complete prior to registration:
- a Secondary School Electrical program at one of the recommended schools
- Math 11 applications or principles and English 12 at 60%
- at least 120 hours of Work experience with an electrician
- Option 2 Electrical Foundation Program (25 week program):
- requires Math 11 applications or principles and English 12 at 60%
- at least 30 hours Work experience or job shadow with an electrician
Step 2: Secondary School program
Enrol and complete electrical courses at one of the following schools:
Step 3: College program @ Camosun’s Interurban campus
- Option 1
Complete Step 2 and the application process for the apprenticeship program. - Option 2
Complete the application process for the foundation program
Upon Completion: you'll receive a certificate of completion from the College and credit for Electrical level 1 apprenticeship technical training.

- $300 Books (approx.)

Note: Ancillary Fees are waived therefore registration does not include a bus pass.
