Business Access Certificate Program
Lync
The Business Access Certificate Program prepares you to enter and satisfy admission requirements for the Business Administration diploma program while taking introductory business courses.
When you successfully complete this program you'll
- receive credit for one course towards a business administration diploma
- have a seat reserved for them in the next intake of the business administration program.
The program
The Lync program provides an opportunity for secondary students who meet the program prerequisites to begin post secondary training. This is a partnership program with South Island Secondary Schools and Camosun College that:
- is open to Grades 11 and 12 students and adult learners earning graduation credits
- provides up to 20 graduation credits, college certification and concurrent registration
Get started
Step 1: Preparation
- complete entrance requirements - English 11 60% and Math 10 60% or Math 11 P/FOM 60% or Math 11 A 73%, or assessment
- 30 hours related Work Experience in local Business
- work with school counselor to complete the Lync application package
- participate in a SIP interview and orientation prior to acceptance into the program
Step 2: College program @ Camosun’s Interurban campus
- Attend Camosun College Iinterurban campus fulltime for 4 months
- September – December, or
- January – April (Note: No spring break)

Upon completion: Successful students will receive a certificate in "Business Access", credit towards the Business Administration Diploma, credits towards high school graduation, and a seat in the next Business Administration program intake.
Costs
- $36.41 Application Fee
- $625 Books (approx.)
- Tuition fees are paid by the school district
Note: Ancillary Fees are waived therefore registration does not include a bus pass.
