The Ministry of Education will discontinue the GED® program at the end of 2014. GED® testing sessions will no longer be offered after November 14/15, 2014. As a result, the GED Prep course will not be offered after October 17, 2014. Learn more.

(0 credits) Fall, Winter, Spring (6 lecture hours and 4 lab hours per week)

This course prepares students to write the General Education Development (GED) exam, a credential accepted by some employers and institutions as evidence of a basic level of education. Students develop test taking strategies, study science and social studies content, and develop Fundamental and Intermediate reading, writing and mathematics skills.

Prerequisites: ENGL 033, or ELD 050, or equivalent; or assessment; and MATH 033, or equivalent; or assessment
