Vancouver Island gives you a world of recreational opportunities right close to home

- Camp and hike in unsurpassed wilderness areas only a few hours away
- Relax, swim, surf, or dive at our beautiful beaches
- Golf all year round
- Ski at Mt. Washington, 4 hours away

Our weather is the best in Canada
- Victoria has the mildest year-round temperature in all of Canada: half the rainfall received in nearby Vancouver; temperatures ranging from 20 to 30 degrees Celsius in summer, from 10 to 17 in spring and fall, and in the winter from 0 to 10. Victoria rarely gets snow —generally one or two light snowfalls a year.
