Anastasia has been a visitor on the Traditional Territories of the Lekwungen and W̱SÁNEĆ Peoples for more than half of her life. Her journey in the field of early childhood started many years ago at Camosun, in the same Program where she teaches now.

She holds a Bachelor of Child and Youth Care and a Master of Arts in the School of  Child and Youth Care(University of Victoria). In her research in the Master's program, she focused on exploring the experiences of early childhood educators who were new to the field.

She has been teaching at Camosun College since 2013. Anastasia enjoys sharing with students her experiences of working with babies, toddlers and preschool age children, and learning new things, especially connected to accessibility and inclusion. Her areas of interest include supporting meaningful inclusive practice in the field of early childhood,  learning about accessibility in the college environment and in the broader community, and building connections in the field.

She co-facilitated a local Community of Practice for early childhood educators for several years and participated in the Province-wide Peer-Mentoring Program to help create a sense of belonging for educators in the local community.
