Sherri Bell, President
"Engaging students in learning to find their passion and make a difference in their community and the world."
This mantra has guided Sherri through her career which began as an educator and administrator in the K-12 system and brought her to Camosun College in July 2015.
Sherri began her career in academics as a teacher in Calgary followed by positions as Vice-Principal and then Principal in the K-12 system in BC. For four years Sherri worked as an instructor and administrator at the College of the Rockies in Cranbrook, BC, teaching a variety of third and fourth year Faculty of Education courses in a University of Victoria satellite program. She also worked with the Ministry of Education in the areas of curriculum development assessment and provided professional development to educators across the province.
Before becoming president of Camosun College, Sherri worked for the Greater Victoria School District, where she served in various senior administrative capacities, including Superintendent of Schools/Chief Executive Officer.
Sherri believes colleges should be nimble and prepared to continually respond to opportunities that reflect our changing world. She is passionate about building on the excellent work done to create opportunities for life-changing learning for Camosun College students.
