Dr. James Nemec

Dr. Nemec teaches the Astronomy courses at Camosun College. His astronomy career began at UVic and the Dominion Astrophysical Observatory, and his PhD is from the University of Washington (in Seattle).

Prior to coming to Camosun College he held NSERC fellowships at Caltech (Pasadena) and the University of British Columbia and taught at Washington State University and the University of Washington. He has published over 130 research papers in major astrophysical journals.
