Camosun campus opening hours
With the move to remote delivery of instruction and services the need for campus buildings to be open has been reduced.
Effective Monday, March 30, campus hours of operation will be 8:00 am until 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, after which occupants will be asked to leave and buildings will be locked. On weekends, all buildings will be locked unless there is previously scheduled activity.
Generally, larger buildings, which tend to have daytime occupancy, will remain open during the day but many unused interior spaces will be locked including classrooms, all computer labs starting March 30 and speciality spaces.
With the transition of instruction and services from in-person to remote delivery, a number of buildings are already locked including libraries, Dunlop House and cafeterias.
Between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday, employees who require access to locked areas can call (250) 370-3889 at Interurban and (250) 370-3041 at Lansdowne, and operations clerks can arrange for a facilities staff member or security to give access to rooms as needed. After 4:00 pm, or on weekends, call the non emergency number at 250-370-4567, the security guard can assist.
Facilities Services is no longer offering face to face service. Call the numbers above or send emails directly to firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance. Operations clerks will assist you with custodial, maintenance, grounds and security needs.
In the event of emergency, while on campus, call 3075.
The Camosun Express shuttle service has wrapped up for the semester. This includes the campus-to-campus shuttle and the West Shore commuter service. The last day of service is Friday, March 27, due to low ridership numbers following instruction and student services now being delivered by alternative methods other than face-to-face or in-person. Thank you to students and employees for your support.
