Update: March 24, 2020
As you can imagine, all of our efforts to this point have been directed at transitioning current students from face-to-face to alternative delivery, however, we are now turning our efforts to planning for the summer semester. While the situation continues to evolve, our plan for the summer semester is to deliver as much of our schedule as possible. Given public health directives, we will continue using online technologies to support course delivery.
For the majority of students, most scheduling information will be made available on Camlink and/or communicated directly from the Office of the Registrar as soon as possible. For students enrolled in Trades or Apprenticeship programming, the school will be communicating directly with students in upcoming intakes. The college is developing customized solutions for each upcoming section or intake.
We appreciate the patience shown to us by students, and also for the hard work and creativity of the college’s faculty and staff who are keeping programs and services available to students.
Parking enforcement temporarily suspended
While students are not encouraged to come on campus, we realize that some students may need to collect items. Realizing that many of our students take the bus due to parking fees, and to make social distancing easier, the college is temporarily suspending parking enforcement until further notice. Overnight parking is not permitted.
Reminder: student services
Camosun student services are available by phone and other modes of delivery following a transition from in-person delivery. The latest information on how to access student services is available at camosun.ca/studentservices.
Information on withdrawals and incompletes
Students are strongly encouraged to engage with their instructors to discuss options about completing the winter semester. The Office of the Registrar web page has posted important information for students who require information about course withdrawal during the COVID-19 pandemic.
