Camosun directive on campus absences due to COVID-19
From COVID-19 Response Coordination Team
Throughout the pandemic, the college has remained focused on protecting the health and safety of students and employees. A new directive is available on the college website relating to absences from campus due to symptoms that are similar to those of COVID-19. It applies to all students and employees.
The directive requires students and employees who are experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19 to avoid coming on campus. Employees working remotely or who fall ill while on campus need to contact their workplace leader, while students should inform their instructor. Students will not be academically penalized for absences related to COVID-19 symptoms.
A clear policy for students and staff who have symptoms of a cold, flu or COVID-19 is one of the measures for post-secondary institutions in the B.C. government’s Go Forward Strategy Checklist.
Thank you for your ongoing support and cooperation during these challenging times.
