A message to graduating students, their family and friends
From Sherri Bell, President of Camosun College
Graduation is an important, defining milestone for students, their family and friends. Typically, in any given year, we have more than a thousand individual students participate.
Unfortunately, as a result of public health orders prohibiting public gatherings, the college had to postpone a physical ceremony last year and must again this year. However, we still want to make things special for all our graduating students and recognize their resiliency and hard work.
Camosun will honour our 2020 and 2021 grads in virtual ceremonies this year on June 28 and 29. Details of how to participate will be emailed to all eligible students in the coming weeks.
Additionally, we intend to offer students from 2020 and 2021 the opportunity to participate in a physical graduation ceremony in June 2022 so long as public health orders permit. Please watch for more communications from the college on this in early 2022.
Our graduates are ready to take on the challenges as they help to build the best B.C. Ready with the knowledge, technical skills and critical thinking capabilities that our province needs as it, and the future of work, continues to transform at a rapid pace.
