Forecasting & Demand Management New

This one-day workshop will focus on forecasting and demand management and is part of the APICS Principles Workshop Series.
Much of the success of enterprise planning and decision making depends on the formulation of accurate forecasts. Forecasting permits firms to establish performance measurements for customer service, plan the level of total inventory investment, choose between alternative operating strategies, and develop assumptions about the stability of the business to respond to the future needs of the marketplace.

Material Requirements Planning New

This one-day workshop will focus on Basics of MRP and Managing with MRP and is part of the APICS Principles Workshop Series.
Material requirements planning is a set of techniques that uses bill of material data, inventory data and the master production schedule to calculate requirements for materials. Time-phased MRP begins with the items listed on the master production schedule (MPS) and determines (1) the quantity of all components and materials required to fabricate those items, and (2) the date that the components and material are required. Time-phased MRP is accomplished by exploding the bill of material, adjusting for inventory quantities on hand or on order, and offsetting the net requirements by the appropriate lead times.

LEAN Inventory and Production Management New

Distribution & Logistics Management New

This one-day workshop will focus on Distribution and Logistics management and is part of the APICS Principles Workshop Series. The velocity of change brought about by the power of the customer, technology enablers, cost pressures, and globalization requires businesses to construct agile, flexible and fast-paced distribution and logistics functions. The distribution channel determines how products and services make their way from the manufacturer to the customer. Logistics facilitates this movement of materials and marketplace information through the distribution pipeline.

Sales & Operations Planning New

This one-day workshop will focus on S&OP and Aggregate Operations Planning and is part of the APICS Principles Workshop Series. It is the role of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) to provide the process for continually revising the strategic business plan and synchronizing the plans of the various departments to meet changes in the marketplace and the capabilities of the business. S&OP is a cross-functional plan that involves sales and marketing, operations, and senior management.

Master Scheduling New

This one-day workshop will focus on the master scheduling foundations and processes and is part of the APICS Principles Workshop Series. Sales and operations (S&OP) plans deal with aggregate planning values, such as product families and productive resources, extending over long-range planning horizons. In contrast, master scheduling deals with the actual end-products or finished goods that he company makes and sells, planned over the medium-term time frame. The master schedule is the translation of the sales and operations plan into specific products with their quantities and timing determined.

CRP & Production Activity Control New

This one-day workshop will focus on Capacity Planning & Management and Production Activity Control and is part of the APICS Principles Workshop Series. The capacity assets of a company are, for the most part, set and difficult to change in the short term. Capacity management is decidedly strategic and essential to the firm’s survival. Too much capacity underutilizes resources and drives costs up. Too little capacity limits the plant’s ability to successfully execute the priority plan.

Capacity planning and management provide detailed insight into the basic production databases such as bills of material, routings, work centers, and work center loading, essential to a firm understanding of production activity control (PAC) – a set of activities that converts and manages the release, management, and completion of production orders.
