Business Analysis Program Free Info Session

Designed for the mature, adult business professional, courses for this intensive 8-module, 120 hour Business Analysis Certificate program will be offered in person, part-time beginning this fall. 

Gain the foundational knowledge and skills to effectively understand business problems and opportunities, analyze needs and solutions, recommend strategies and facilitate stakeholder collaboration. Learn to model, analyze, communicate and manage requirements and other business analysis information.

Be exposed to a variety of best practices, proven tools and industry-recognized techniques that can be immediately applied in a range of business environments. Courses follow the BABOK® Guide v3.
 

  • Gain knowledge and skills to support or begin your career in business analysis
  • Earn a recognized credential to enhance your business analysis experience
  • Update your existing business analysis credentials
  • Learn industry-recognized techniques and best practices to perform business analysis work
Courses can be taken in any order, but you are encouraged to start with Overview of Business Analysis (BSNS 551V) and Specify and Model Requirements (BSNS 552V).

Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) Certification Program Free Info Session

Did you know that the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) has been representing employers’ payroll interests since 1978? Canada's 1.5 million employers count on payroll professionals to annually pay $810 billion in wages, $250 billion in federal and provincial statutory remittances, and $90 billion in health and retirement benefits, as well as produce 25 million T4s, 9 million T4As, and 7 million RL-1s – all while complying with over 190 regulatory requirements. Professional certification at one or more levels is a prerequisite for employment and career advancement in payroll by an increasing number of employers. Camosun College and the CPA course instructor invite you to this informative session. You will get your questions answered and all of the information needed about the CPA Payroll Courses and pathways to Certification. This session is ideal for those interested in payroll education and for payroll practitioners looking for information on becoming certified through the CPA. Cannabis Education Night (BCICA Monthly Meeting) Free Info Session

Camosun is pleased to host BCICA’s monthly meetings
The BC Independent Cannabis Association, a not-for profit organization, represents stakeholders from the long-standing BC cannabis economy. The BCICA is not a trade association. Per their website, “The BCICA’s primary focus is on education. To that end, we host public panels and meetings on specific topics, where we garner feedback from both industry experts, and the general public. It is our hope to present the information gained in these sessions in a comprehensive and clear manner, with the goal of informing the public and policy makers about this vibrant, sophisticated business economy.”

Open to members. BCICA Membership fee is $5 annually and may be paid at the door.

Registration not required but it helps us get a sense of numbers. Space is limited.
