Camosun College reserves the right to change or cancel any provision or requirement at any time. The college does not accept responsibility for the cancellation or discontinuation of any program, course or class of instruction that may be necessary as a result of an act of God, fire, labour problems, lace of funds or other similar causes.
CAMLINK is a secure, online records management system used for enrolling in both credit and continuing education courses. It is not necessary for you to contact Camosun beforehand. All one needs is a valid credit card.
http://camosun.ca/ce/ceregister
If we do not have your name and mailing address in our records, then, upon successful credit card payment, a new record and CAMLINK account will be created for you. If you are already in the CAMLINK ‘system’, the new continuing education registration will be attached to your existing record.
You can register for the vast majority of continuing education classes. The exceptions are credentialed Continuing Education certificate programs.
After paying the registration fees the confirmation page will display your username (e.g. C0123456). The system will send you your password by email.
No. For a variety of reasons anyone wishing to drop their course must contact Camosun.
Please see the contacts under program areas or refer to page 1 “Contacts List” in the print calendar.
In most cases, you do not need prerequisites for non-credentialled Continuing Education courses. However, please read the course descriptions carefully as some contain recommendations for a certain skill level or knowledge, without which the student may be at a disadvantage.
To help ensure a successful and positive learning experience, fluency in spoken and written English is essential for all courses.
The minimum age is 16 unless specified otherwise. Exceptions to this policy can be made at the discretion of the Director or designate.
Our policy is to accept registrations on the first-come, first-served basis. However, if a course is full, you have the option of going to a web form to request to be placed on a call list for the course.
Transfers within the same subject area are permitted without penalty (e.g. Computers – Level I to Computers – Level II).
We make every effort to avoid doing this, but occasionally it is necessary. Current telephone numbers on your registration form are a big help should this happen. We will do our best to contact you to advise of changes. If it is not acceptable to you, a full refund will be issued.
Yes! Camosun College accepts VISA, American Express, MasterCard or JBC credit card payment for all continuing education courses including credentialled certificate programs.
Unfortunately, no. Except for programs requiring a $500 registration deposit, you are not registered until payment is received in full.
If fees are paid by your employer or a sponsoring agency, please have your employer (or sponsoring agency) complete and submit the “Employer/Sponsor Approval for Fees-Continuing Education registration form”.
Courses that are HST exempt and cost more than $100 are tax deductible. An official tax receipt (T2202a) will be available online in February for the previous taxation years from camosun.ca/camlink. Please log in using your Camosun ID which is on your registration receipt. If you need further assistance please use the online help or call 250-370-3550.
A minimum enrolment is required to recover the full costs of providing the course. When a course fails to reach this minimum we reluctantly cancel it. We do this five working days before the course start date. This enables us to contact the registrants if available, offer transfer them to another course or section. It is important that you provide your daytime phone number(s) when registering so that we can contact you without delay.
