Information for students
Request for Credential
To receive your credential—your certificate, diploma or degree—you must complete the Request for Credential form. All Camosun graduates will receive their credential by mail.
Gowns, Regalia and Dress Code
We are pleased to provide graduation caps and gowns at no charge. Typical dress is semi-formal. Flowers, jewellery or emblems should not be attached to the gown.
If you belong to a First Nation, the military, or are from another country, you may choose to wear your regalia, uniform or national dress in place of the traditional graduation gown.
On the day of grad
On grad day, arrive at the PISE building 1 hour and 30 minutes before the start of your ceremony.
- Step 1: Stop by the Welcome Tent on the upper PISE patio.
- Step 2: Check-in at your school’s table inside PISE to pick up your name card. You’ll need this card when you cross the stage.
- Step 3: If you haven’t already done so, pick up your gown.
- Step 4: Assemble with your classmates in the designated area. Marshals, wearing green gowns, will help you line up and lead you into the PISE gym.
- Step 5: Have fun! This is your day—take a moment to reflect on your accomplishment and celebrate with friends and family!
Coat check
We provide a complimentary coat check for grads. Be sure to arrive early if you wish to use this service, and remember to take any valuables out of coat pockets.
Personal belongings and valuables
There is no secure storage space available, so be prepared to hold onto any personal belongings throughout the ceremony. We recommend that you leave personal items such as purses and cameras with your families or guests.

Free parking is available all day at graduation. Allow at least a half-hour to park and walk to the PISE building.
Handicapped parking spaces are available but must be reserved in advance. Call your school office to make arrangements.
