Get educated about careers at Camosun’s Student Employment Festival, Sept. 28

Camosun students and alumni are invited to the college’s first-ever Student Employment Festival “One Life, Many Careers” hosted by Camosun’s Student Employment office, Wednesday, September 28 at Lansdowne campus.

“The festival is designed to educate and expose Camosun students and graduates to a variety of career opportunities and to help them discover what it really takes to find that ‘dream job’,” says Camosun Student Employment Facilitator and event coordinator Irene Wallace. “Participants will have a chance to meet one-on-one with experts in their fields, practice their interview skills and have their resumes critiqued by professional employment coaches.”

The Student Employment Festival is free of charge and includes a full day of special guest speakers and fun career-related activities:

Festival activities

A free noon-hour barbecue will be sponsored by the Camosun College Student Society. Fortune tellers, tarot card readers, games, prizes and improv acts are also part of the day’s fun events which runs from 8:30am to 4:00pm at the Lansdowne campus.
