Get your hands on our stuff—Thursday May 5
8:30am–3pm in the Centre for Business and Access, room 159
The OOPS factor is a reality for many aspiring post-secondary students. You may recognize these typical statements from anyone experiencing the confounding condition: "OOPS, I took the wrong math...OOPS, I've been out of school for awhile and my English skills are rusty...OOPS, I was too interested in sports to take chemistry."
Fortunately for the would-be adult learner, confused parent, or weary high school counsellor, the OOPS Oasis will be open all day during Open House to offer advice and answer questions about exciting new education and career paths. Campus map...
So, if life after high school surprised you with new passions, a dead-end job or the view that post-secondary is more appealing than it used to be, drop by the OOPS Oasis. We can help you discover all that Camosun offers to the adult learner so you can resolve your own OOPS factor.

I like the idea of inviting adult learners for coffee and conversation. It's not an easy decision to go back to school after a few years out, and there are a lot of questions to be answered first. This is a good place to take those questions.

I agree with Val. Regardless of age or background, taking that first step can be scary. Whether it's the fear of the unknown, or simply mis-guided perceptions, open house is a great first step to get the facts first hand and to find those "answers" that unlock a successful future.
