Get a head start on your education!

If college is in your future, why not give yourself a head-start by taking a class or two in the spring or summer term?

Upgrading

Camosun offers all levels of upgrading in math, English, English as a second language, biology, chemistry and physics. You can update your basic computer skills, or learn some useful study tips in a learning skills course. Most of these courses are tuition-free, so you only have to pay the student/ancillary fees.

Grade 11 and 12 levels of English, math, and sciences are offered in May. ESL classes also start in May. English and Math upgrading courses start up again in July. Courses up to the Grade 10 level have start-dates throughout the year, including February, March, May, June or July.

Registration is first-come, first-served, so don’t delay, apply today!

University Transfer

Camosun offers more than 300 first- and second-year university transfer (UT) courses in arts, science, business and health including many courses that offer an Indigenous perspective. Many UT courses are offered in May, and few will start up again in July.

Career Programs

If you’re not sure where your career path lies, check out Better Employment Strategies and Techniques (B.E.S.T.), an 8-week career exploration program. The next class starts March 8 and there are still a few seats open.

If you already have an idea of where your career path leads, you may not have to wait for September. In some cases, you can start in May.
