About DiscoverTech@Camosun
DiscoverTech@Camosun introduces high school students to the electrifying world of technology and engineering sessions scheduled during spring break and in the summer.
Middle and high school students get their hands on high-tech equipment and learn to make Lego Mind Storm Robots, bottle rocket launchers and more engineering wizardry. Whether it’s hurling objects, making amplifiers for iPODs and MP3 players, building earthquake-resistant towers and programming computers during DiscoverTech@Camosun, parents can be assured that while the week-long series are action-packed, they’re also fun and safe.
Young people learn how math, physics, electronics and computer programming can lead to a wide choice of high-tech careers.
Because of the huge demand for skilled technologists and technicians, past DiscoverTech@Camosun series have been sponsored by the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of BC (ASTTBC) and Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC.)
