School of Arts and Science

I started university intending to pursue a degree in computer science. However, I later realized that this path was not for me. I later switched my major to sociology after taking an introductory sociology course as an elective. My Master’s and Doctoral research focused on examining paradigm shifts in the natural sciences. Specifically, I was interested in mapping the social, cultural and political factors that come into play when new ideas challenge traditional scientific knowledge. My other areas of interest include research methods and statistics, and sociology of technology.
