NSERC’s College & Community Innovation Program
Camosun College was recently awarded NSERC eligibility which enables the college to access federal research funding for applied research projects. NSERC offers the College Community Innovation (CCI) program which is designed to help promote partnership projects between colleges and industry. The CCI programs is a great way for faculty to be engaged with industry and for industry to get a great deal on applied research support from the college.
The great news is that companies will be able to carry out approved Applied Research and Development projects for a fraction of their full cost, if partnered with Camosun College.
Here is how it works
The CCI program funds a stream of applied research projects in a field over a five year period. Your project may be of short duration or take the full five years. In the first three years the projects underway will be fully funded by NSERC up to a total of $500,000 per year. In the last two years, funding will be provided up to $400,000 of a $500,000 total (80% funded). The goal of the program is to foster industry partnership projects and enrich the important link between colleges and industry.
