Policies

Current Initiatives

The policy development process at Camosun aims to be transparent, with engagement and meaningful collaboration with the Camosun community, including students and employees. Through this engagement Camosun seeks to reflect the views and experiences of its community.

Here you'll find a brief description of the various policy initiatives that are underway at Camosun College.

If you would like to discuss these policy initiatives in person, please contact Nick Maillet, Operations Assistant for Education Policy and Planning, to schedule a meeting.

Academic Integrity +

The Academic Integrity policy outlines Camosun College’s academic expectations for all students and articulates the College’s values and principles with respect to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity. The policy will also outline the process involved in addressing an allegation of academic dishonesty.

Indigenization Policy +

The Office of Education Policy and Planning has worked with the wide College-community to draft Camosun’s Indigenization policy. The purpose of this policy is to articulate the commitment and vision of Camosun College in its ongoing work of Indigenization across and within all areas of the College. The policy document includes a purpose statement, definitions of key terms, and a set of principles.

Re-evaluation of Grades +

The Office of Education Policy and Planning has worked with the wide College-community to draft Camosun’s Re-evaluation of Grades policy. The policy document includes a purpose statement, definitions of key terms, and a set of principles. The document also includes the process for students and the College to work through requests for re-evaluation of students’ grades and some standards for records management.

Student Conduct +

The Student Conduct policy outlines Camosun College’s expectations for all students and articulates the College’s values and principles with respect to students’ conduct and behaviour. The policy provides a framework, supported by standards, procedures, and student support services to address and resolve conduct issues when an informal resolution is not possible.
