Susan has been Executive Director of the Foundation since May of 2000. In addition, she serves as the College's Director of College Relations & Development. Prior to joining Camosun, she served in a similar capacity in Calgary, Alberta with the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT). Susan has a B.Ed. from the University of Alberta with an Adult Education specialization and a minor in Business. She has worked in the private and public sectors in a public relations/marketing/fund raising capacity for over 20 years, as a practitioner, teacher and administrator. In addition to her Camosun role, she has served as Co-Chair of the College's United Way campaign, on the Vancouver Island chapter of the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS) Board, the CKMO Radio Society Board and on committees of the Victoria Chamber of Commerce. She is also past Chair of the Alberta Science Centre Society, past President of the Southern Alberta Chapter of the American Marketing Society, past Chair of the Education Committee of the Calgary Chamber of Commerce and served as Co-Chair of the Education Sector of the Calgary United Way.

Jo-Anne has brought over 20 years of fund development experience in the not-for-profit post-secondary education and culture sectors to the Foundation. She is currently responsible for many aspects of fund-raising including building the Foundation’s major and planned gift programs, creating an annual development strategy, and generally cultivating awareness of the Camosun College Foundation. Jo-Anne has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Manitoba.

Sandra Bitz

Sandra joined the Foundation team in 2008. Prior to that she was the Executive Director of a local non-profit neurologic centre. She has worked in various capacities in special education, counseling, non-profit administration and fundraising. Sandra has an M.Ed. in Counselling from the University of B.C. and an M.Sc. in Human Resource Development from Johns Hopkins University. She has been a member of various Boards of Directors, including the Victoria chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Tri-County Suicide Prevention Centre located in Monterey, California. Sandra’s fundraising portfolio includes the Love Your Learning Library campaign, and she oversees all the donor funds related to the School of Business, School of Trades and Technology, the Centre for Sport and Exercise Education and Recreation & Athletics.

Michelle’s position is new to the Camosun Foundation. She brings over 20 years experience in marketing, communications and public relations within the College, to the Foundation. In her new role, she focuses on grant writing, marketing, communications, media and donor relations and special event coordination in support of the Foundation’s goals and objectives. Michelle has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Victoria.

Patty is the Assistant to the Director of the Camosun College Foundation. She has worked at Camosun College since 1995 in a variety of administrative support positions and joined the Foundation office in 2008. Patty manages our electronic database of donors and donations and is responsible for producing official receipts for charitable gifts. She has a Bachelor of Arts from York University.
