Camosun College Course Feedback Survey
Student feedback is vital for stregenthing course offerings for future students, which is why Camosun College urges student participation in the college-wide course feedback survey. Anonymous student feedback is reported to the instructor, summary results are provided to Deans, and general results are reported on this website. Topics include course goals, organization, student-faculty communication, the learning environment, assessment, course materials, equipment, facilities, learning support services, and reasons for taking the course. Questions included in the survey are listed here. Each course is included once every two years, and further information is available in these documents: FAQ's About the Course Survey and Quick Facts About the Course Survey. Faculty with sections included in the 2011F course survey will receive their feedback reports mid-January, and the Q2/Winter round of surveys will be conducted mid-March to early April. Benefits of gathering student feedback:- Students have a venue to provide anonymous feedback to faculty and administrators on their experience and satisfaction at Camosun College.
- Faculty members receive feedback about their course sections, including student perceptions of course content, pacing, course materials, the structure of assignments, and general pedagogy.
- Administrators and Deans discover trends in student opinion on issues ranging from effectiveness of course materials and support services to the quality of college facilities.

Winter 2012 Online Delivery Pilot
In response to student and faculty suggestions, an exciting initiative will be undertaken this term. In order to reduce use of course time, students in selected courses will be e-mailed a personalized invitation containing a link to a secure site, allowing the student to complete Camosun’s standard course survey for that course section from any computer. After a few days, students who haven’t submitted feedback will be sent a reminder. Feedback will, of course, be anonymous, and course section details will be imbedded in the invite to ensure accuracy. This method has been tested with several sections, and this term we're pleased to include courses from the following departments: ENAC, HUMA, MMPA, SPEX, DENT, CIEN, ECEN & MEEN. Course Sections Included in the E-mail Delivery Pilot. If the piloted survey method meets our goals, including high student participation, we'll consider implementing it on a wider scale in future.
