About Kerry-Ann

I have been a visitor to the unsurrendered traditional territories of the lək̓ʷəŋən and W̱SÁNEĆ for the last ten years, originally from the east coast - the traditional territory of the Kanien'kehà:ka (Montreal), I am privileged and grateful to call this home. I have had the honor of living and working on several different territories coast to coast, this has shaped my perspectives on education and health greatly. My background is in healthcare, as an RN I have taught in healthcare for over 20 years and joined Camosun in 2014 to teach for their BSN program. Shortly afterward I took on the role of simulation education coordinator. I enjoy designing and facilitating in-person and virtual simulations as well as supporting faculty to develop simulated learning activities for learners. Simulated learning creates an experience for learners to explore and learn collaboratively in a safe environment, and has the potential to be transformative. My passions include inclusive teaching, lifelong learning, and intentionally recognizing and dismantling my biases as a white settler. When I am not working you will find me in the beautiful outdoors exploring with my family.
