Second Annual Q2W: Quit to Win Contest

Contest Period: February 1 to March 15 (inclusive)
Online Registration Deadline: January 31 (11:59pm PDT)

It’s back! Camosun is getting ready to host its Second Annual Q2W: Quit to Win Contest. In 2009, the College partnered with the BC Lung Association and the BC Healthy Living Alliance (BCHLA) to reduce tobacco use among our students and employees and to minimize exposure to second-hand smoke on our campuses. Our annual Q2W: Quit to Win Contest is a part of this initiative and it is open to all members of our campus community – students, staff, and faculty.

Eligibility requirements:

  • You must currently be a student, staff member or faculty member of Camosun College.
  • You must either:
    • Have been a daily smoker for at least the past year, or
    • Have quit within the past three months (having been a daily smoker for at least one year prior to your quit date)
  • You must register with a support buddy (see contest rules for details) please link this reference to the rules to the attached also

If you have been a daily smoker for at least the past year or have quit smoking within the past three months (having been a daily smoker for at least a year prior to your quit date), then this contest is for you! Quitting smoking is a huge benefit in itself but why not win some great prizes while you’re at it?

Participants are required to register with a "support buddy" and must stay tobacco-free for the duration of the contest in order to be entered in the prize draws. Support buddies are eligible to win prizes too!

Quit Kits will be available to registered participants prior to the February 1, 2011 start date and will include information, tools, and a list of online resources to support the quitting process. We want you to succeed so we'll be keeping in touch with you along the way to see how you're doing, offer our encouragement, and find out if there's any way we can assist you.

Don't wait! Register now and Quit to Win!
