Around Victoria

No matter where you're from, Victoria is a great place to live and study. Moving to the busy southern British Columbia region can be overwhelming for many students moving from smaller towns. Victoria is small enough to be safe and friendly, yet big enough to accommodate an active and exciting student lifestyle.

Located on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, Victoria has a population of 350,000. The city offers tons of arts and cultural events, and an especially vibrant live music scene—from concerts to nightclubs to summer festivals.

Downtown you'll find a feast of restaurants, many of which cater to a student budget, and a number of galleries, museums, theatres and shopping areas. Gardens, parks and beaches surround the city. The famed Victoria inner harbour, and the many outdoor cafes and pubs, are great places to meet up with friends.

Hiking, biking, kayaking, snowboarding. Vancouver Island is geared toward the outdoors. There are so many amazing places to visit and tons to do!
