Board committees
The board has four standing committees. Only the board in its entirety can make board decisions. The committees assist the board in decision making by bringing recommendations.
Board executive committee
The executive committee makes recommendations to the board in the areas of the board’s role, student appeals, policy proposals, emergency situations, and establishing ad hoc committees. Terms of reference (pdf)
Board finance committee
The finance committee is responsible for significant financial planning, managing and reporting matters for the college. The committee makes recommendations to the board in the areas of the annual operating and capital budgets, the annual financial information act requirements, and the tuition fee increases. Board audit committee
The purpose of the board audit committee is to assist the board to fulfill its financial accountability and oversight responsibilities. Terms of reference (pdf)
Board External Relations Committee
Strategic in nature, the purpose of the Board External Relations committee is responsible for promoting Camosun College’s brand within the external community. Terms of reference (pdf)
