Eligibility
In order to be eligible for this bursary, the applicant must:
- show proof of Indian or Inuit ancestry;
- have been a resident of Canada for 12 months prior to applying;
- must attend a federally recognized institution; and
- not be receiving funding from any other sources.

Eligibility
In order to be eligible for this scholarship, an applicant must:
- show proof of Native ancestry;
- maintain an 80% minimum grade point average; and
- have resided in Canada at least 12 months prior to applying.

Métis Heritage Association Scholarships
Application deadline: Mid-October
Eligibility
Eligible applicants will be assessed by an awards selection committee based
upon:
- academic merit; and
- financial need.
Interested applicants should submit the following:
- a covering letter including any pertinent information the applicant feels is warranted;
- statement of intent including area of study, course load, why he or she enrolled in the discipline, benefit to self and community, and other information that will support his or her request for a scholarship;
- a letter stating Métis Local affiliation;
- a letter from the post-secondary institution signed by the registrar indicating year of enrollment and discipline of study;
- letters of reference from the instructors; and
- additional information the applicant feels is pertinent.

The Métis Heritage Association offers the following educational scholarships:
- Ted Trindell Memorial Scholarship $1,500
- Lena Harrington Memorial Scholarship $1,000
- Mary Firth Memorial Scholarship $1,000
- Modeste Mandeville Memorial Scholarship $1,000
- Harry Camsell Memorial Scholarship $1,000
- Louis Mercredi Memorial Scholarship $1,000
- Billy Bourque Memorial Scholarship Varies
